The direct injection system pressure has been raised from 200 to 350 bar, and the injectors can now perform multiple injections for reduced particulate emissions at low revs. The electrically actuated wastegate can open wider for more even heat distribution on the catalytic converter, assisting with warmup. EPA results aren’t yet in, but expect the G20–which has a lower drag coefficient (0.26 versus 0.29) than the F30–to achieve better fuel economy.
