After entering the wind turbine construction market, manufacturer Krøll Cranes in Denmark adapted three of its K1650L models for general construction work. They were put to work on a massive Jurong Town Corporation Logistic Hub industrial logistic park project. Changes to the cranes included downgrading the capacity of 135 tonnes to 64 tonnes and transforming the typical jib nose for wind turbine installation into a light weight standard jib end section.
Enerpac says optimum stability and safety were provided thanks to the SBL1100’s self-contained hydraulics and electronics, self-propelled wheels (or tank rollers), and its Intellilift wireless control system – which provides the operator with information about the stroke, lift and load per unit and automatically corrects any unsynchronised motion of the individual units.

Elevators deployed over a decade ago are pushing for modernization, as obsolete parts require replacement with new efficient and cost-effective parts. New elevators will also find immense application growing construction of high-rise buildings.

Add the words “open-wheel” to any form of racing, and you can usually tack on a few more zeros to the price tag. One of the key design challenges was how to increase the range of the HH-60W without filling the cabin with auxiliary fuel tanks, as had occurred on the HH-60G. The normal internal fuel capacity of the UH-60M is 360 US gallons (1,360 liters), but the fuel capacity of the Whiskey is 660 US gallons (2,500 liters).
The standard Army version is offered as part of a Foreign Military Sale. Some exports require customization, which is usually done by Sikorsky in Connecticut or at its West Palm Beach facility in Jupiter, Florida. Bahrain was the first UH-60M export customer.
Production of the legacy MH-60R Romeo is also a multi-site enterprise, with the airframe assembled at the Sikorsky factory at the Troy Municipal Airport in Alabama, final assembly in Stratford, and mission systems installation and integration centered at Lockheed Martin in Owego, where the MH-60R cockpit is also produced.
The initial EMD contract also covers six aircrew and maintenance training devices, and instructional courseware.
It’s a testament to the longevity of the equipment that orders of legacy spares can account for up to 30% of the company’s spare parts orders.
